THE DYING DEAD SEA
The iconic and holy Dead Sea in Israel is facing an impending climate catastrophe due to human water-use and extractive industries. In turn, the Dead Sea is evaporating more than a meter causing over 7000 sinkholes to appear along the coastline. The Dead Sea is set to slowly turn into a corrosive, toxic lake by 2050 if nothing is done to stop or reverse the decline.

EUROPE'S LAST WILD RIVER
Albania is home to Europe’s last wild river, the Vjosë River. Currently, there is a legal battle to construct multiple hydroelectric facilities on the rivers tributaries in court. Previously, rivers around the country, even in protected areas, have had hydroelectric facilities built, despite national and EU laws. We are hoping the Vjosë won’t follow suit.
